Calligraphy

Hand lettered watercolor brush calligraphy on white envelopes

Through hand-lettered calligraphy, a variety of surfaces, from paper and leather to plastic and glass (leaves and lemons too), can be beautifully customized using ink or paint. Ideal for notebooks, luggage tags, place cards, gift tags, and other meaningful details that elevate any event.

Engraving

Glass, metal, stone, and select plastic surfaces can be delicately engraved by hand, creating a permanent etched design on your chosen item. Using a small, quiet micro-drill, each piece is customized on the spot with precision and care. Perfect for fragrance bottles, wine and liquor bottles, glassware, and other elegant keepsakes.

Hot Foiling

Using a hot foiling tool, heat foiling creates elegant impressions on leather or faux leather surfaces. This technique adds a subtle yet luxurious detail to items such as luggage tags, wallets, card holders, leather notebooks, and jewelry boxes.

  • Choose from hand engraving, calligraphy, heat foiling, or wood burning to personalize your item. Select engraved pieces may be enhanced with a gold or silver fill for an elevated finish.

    Personalization is completed on the spot and typically takes just a few minutes. Options include monograms, initials, names, meaningful dates, or short phrases, depending on the available space on the item.

  • Almost anything can be personalized. Surfaces such as paper, glass, metal, ceramic, leather, and select plastics work beautifully for live customization. Popular items include wine bottles, perfume bottles, jewelry trays, candles, ornaments, luggage tags, thank you cards, shot glasses, makeup bags, tumblers, mirrors, pumpkins, and wine glasses.

    If you’re unsure whether a specific item can be personalized, feel free to reach out and I’d be happy to discuss the options with you.

    Please note: Carbonated beverages cannot be engraved due to the risk of pressure in the bottle (this includes champagne, beer, sparkling wine, and similar items). For these surfaces, paint pen calligraphy is a beautiful and safe alternative that looks just as elegant.

  • We focus on a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.

  • I provide all of the tools needed to complete the personalization. This includes any ink, paint, engraving supplies, hot foil, and anything else necessary. However, my clients typically provide the items that will be personalized. I can also help source items if needed.

    For live calligraphy events, I typically require a small table and chair, and occasionally access to a power outlet, depending on the location and lighting conditions. If your venue has specific setup guidelines or if you have questions about the space, please feel free to reach out so we can plan the details together.

  • We offer pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs. Investment starts at $800 for live event personalization.

  • I’m based in Columbia, Missouri, but I’m happy to travel for your event. If your celebration is outside the area, please fill out the contact form and include your event location so I can provide a custom quote.
