FAQS
What is the processing time for a painting?
Processing time varies depending on your position in my painting queue. I work on paintings in the order I receive them, so wait times can range up to 8 weeks or more, depending on my current workload, the number of pre-orders, and the time of year.
After you place your order, I’ll reach out with an estimated processing time for your painting. Thank you for your patience and for supporting handmade artwork!
What kind of photos should I send?
You can send either personal photos or professional shots from your photographer! For the best painting results, please provide detailed photos taken in natural light. It’s especially helpful to send photos of the bride holding the bouquet, or a top-down view of the bouquet.
If you're unsure if your photos will work, feel free to email them to me at hello@thetawnycanvas.com!
How do I send photos of the bouquet?
Once you’ve made your purchase, email your photos to hello@thetawnycanvas.com with your order name. If you're pre-ordering and haven’t yet taken the photos, feel free to send them as soon as you have them!
Can I reserve a spot if I haven’t gotten married yet?
Yes! I highly recommend pre-ordering a painting so I can reserve a spot on my calendar for you. This often results in a shorter wait time in the queue.
To reserve your spot, I require a 50% down payment. Once you’re married and have your photos, send them my way. The remaining 50% is due before I can begin your painting, and I cannot start until this payment is received.
How are paintings packaged?
I package paintings in an EcoEnclose rigid mailer with a plastic sleeve to protect them from moisture. These mailers have been very effective in ensuring your painting arrives safely! However, if your painting does arrive damaged (since accidents can happen), please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Can I cancel an order?
It's okay if you change your mind! Here’s how cancellations work:
For Pre-Orders: You can cancel up to one month before your wedding date and receive a full refund of your 50% down payment. If you cancel after one month but before two weeks of your wedding, you’ll receive half of your down payment. If canceled two weeks or less before the wedding, I’m unable to offer any refund.
For Regular Orders: You can cancel within 5 days of purchase for a full refund. Once I start working on your painting, I can no longer accept cancellations.
For Gift Cards: Unfortunately, gift card purchases are non-refundable and cannot be canceled.
